The CHAUVET DJ Instagram Photoghost Contest is sure to send shivers of anticipation down the spines of followers of the company’s Instagram page this Halloween. Running from Saturday, October 1st, 2016 through Thursday October 20th, the contest offers people brave enough to enter the chance to win one of three great prizes: Geyser P6 for first place; Gobo Zoom USB (second) and Scorpion Bar RG (third).

To enter, contestants should post a photo or video to their own Instagram page of their Halloween displays that use CHAUVET DJ fixtures and effects with the hashtag #ChauvetDJPhotoghost, then share the photo or video to CHAUVET DJ on Instagram. All photos/video entries shared to the CHAUVET DJ Instagram page from followers from October 1st through October 20th will be entered into a random drawing. Three winners will be chosen on Friday, October 21st.

To be eligible to win, contestants must follow CHAUVET DJ on Instagram (user name chauvet_dj). All contestants must be 18 years old or older and a resident of the continental United States.

Official Rules, Terms and Conditions

General Description: This contest invites the entrant to post a photo or video clip on the entrant’s own Instagram page and then share this photo with CHAUVET DJ on the company’s Instagram page. Shared material must bear the hashtag #ChauvetDJPhotoghost. The photo or video must be of a Halloween display using CHAUVET DJ products. CHAUVET DJ will randomly selected three of the photos or videos posted on its Instagram page during the contest period specified below. The three entrants whose posted material is randomly selected as described in this document will receive merchandise prizes. Entrants can submit as many videos or photos for this contest as they wish, provided that each is submitted separately. Video submissions should be no longer than two (2) minutes in length.

Eligibility: The contest is open to legal residents of the United States and its territories 18 years of age or older, defined for the purposes of this contest as being born on or earlier than October 20, 1998. Employees of Chauvet Lighting and its affiliated agencies and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in this contest. No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest. The endorsement of Chauvet lighting products will not increase a entrant’s chances of winning.

Timetable and Deadlines: The contest runs from October 1 through October 20, 2016. Entries posted on the CHAUVET DJ Instagram page prior to Midnight Eastern Daylight Time October 1 or subsequent to 11:59 pm Eastern Daylight Time October 20 will not be entered into the random prize drawing. Winners will be selected randomly on Friday October 21, 2016. Winners will be notified by email via their Instagram accounts.

Prizes: Winners of the contest will receive the following prizes:

• First – Geyser P6
• Second – Gobo Zoom USB
• Third – Scorpion Bar RG

The aforementioned posted prizes are subject to availability. Although CHAUVET DJ will make every reasonable effort to deliver prizes to the winners in a timely fashion, the company reserves the right at its sole and total discretion to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any winning entry. Entrants shall hold CHAUVET DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless in the event that a posted prize is not available.

Submission of Entries: To be consider in this contest entries must be sent during the contest time period set forth above to the CHAUVET DJ Instagram page. All entries must also bear the hashtag#ChauvetDJPhotoghost to be considered. Entries submitted in any other fashion shall not be considered. Chauvet Lighting and its affiliated agencies shall be held harmless for any lost, errant or mangled entries.

Exclusion of Entries: Any entry containing lewd, vulgar, sexually offensive or racially/ethnically/religously offensive material shall be excluded from consideration immediately. Any entry that harms, degrades or endangers any person or animal shall be excluded from consideration immediately. Any entry that degrades or defames any person shall be immediately excluded from consideration. Any entry that does not include the name and contact information for the entrant shall not be considered. CHAUVET DJ reserves the right to make determinations on the appropriateness of entries at its sole and total discretion.

Selection of Winners: Winning entries will be selected by a random number generator. Each entry will be assigned a number. The first number selected by the random number generator will receive the first prize, the second number selected will receive the second prize and the third number selected with receive the third prize.

Notification of Winners: Winners will be notified by Chauvet Lighting or its affiliated agencies. The names of winners will also be posted on the CHAUVET DJ Facebook page. Chauvet lighting or its affiliated agencies will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winners during a 14 day period after the winning entries are announced. However, any winner who fails to reply by the expiration of said 14 day time period shall forfeit all rights to the announced prize and shall make no claims against Chauvet Lighting or its affiliated agencies in regards to this forfeiture. In the event that a prize is forfeited, Chauvet lighting and its affiliated agencies reserve the right to award the announced prize to another entrant and their sole and total discretion. Chauvet DJ and its affiliated agencies shall bear no responsibility to return an entry, withdraw the winner’s name from any published material (print, video or digital) or issue any correction regarding the forfeiture should a winner who fails to contact the company within the designated period forfeit a prize.

Permissions: By participating in this contest, entrants agree to allow Chauvet lighting and its affiliated agencies to use their names and likenesses in advertising, marketing and public relations/promotional material without compensation. The entrants shall hold the Chauvet Lighting and its affiliated agencies harmless against any claims that arise from this use.

Liabilities: The contestant also agrees to hold the Chauvet Lighting and its affiliated agencies harmless as a result of their participation in this contest.

Contest Entrant Responsibilities: By agreeing to this contest’s terms and conditions, contestants warrant that they truly represent their identity and are not another individual. They further agree to hold Chauvet DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless against any claims made by other parties as a result of their participation in this contest. By participating in this contest, participants warrant that their entries represent original work and thought and do not violate any copyright laws, patent laws or other laws. Participants agree to hold the Chauvet Lighting and its affiliated agencies harmless in the event said laws are violated by their entry.

Tax Responsibility: By agreeing to this contest’s terms and conditions, contestants agree to bear full responsibility for any federal, state or local taxes that may arise from winning any prize associated with this contest.

Acceptance of Terms: By participating in this contest, entrants accept all terms and conditions set forth in this document.
